Your contribution to this community has been invaluable, it's beyond words, yet we'll convey our feelings here (and maybe in London this week-end). Martin, Peter and the rest of NC soft West Europe CR/Ms. We've lost great people, I hope you'll find new homes where you'll continue to be happy with your job and make players happy too.

Cheers guys, it's been a great ride. Hope we'll see you in-game to cheer you up and share memories.

When they leaving? Does this mean we get another Gaile style fairwell party in game

It's never good to see anyone lose their job, especially people that have put in so much time/effort into a game we all love.

As an aside, this means that we are going to actually get WORSE support for the game, which seems like it would be very difficult to do.

I believe Regina when she says this will improve the efficiency of Anet. NCsoft, along with the rest of the world, is in a tough economic situation and it is better for NCsoft to concentrate their resources on shipping GW2.

Let me put this to you in perspective:

Read the newspapers. Understand how bad the economies all over the world are. Understand that there are people committing suicide because of the financial stress and job loss. Comprehend that this is two people loosing their jobs. They may have people counting on them to support them. They may have wives, mortgages, children, etc to take care of.

And you are asking when their misfortune will get you a chance to advance your title in a video game?

Martin and Peter (and the others) -- My heart goes out to you all. Only thing we can do is wish you all the very best. May God be with you as you take care of your loved ones. Thanks again for all your effort. I am very sad to see how greed of some billionaires mess up lives of millions.

Good Luck!

This NCSoft restructuring is a bit frightening, given the fact that we hear next to nothing about Guild Wars 2.

While I feel sympathy for Peter and Martin, we should not betray ourselves. I often wondered what they were actually doing. They were either never given any information or never allowed to reveal it to the public. Organization of beverages at the Games Convention and skimming forums cannot really be the point of a community manager, sorry. No wonder that they were seen as redundant.

I also wonder about Regina's supposed workload. Whatever she is doing, it is for sure not spoiling too much information about GW2.

Maybe she is right and the better communication due to all departments working in the same building will improve the interaction/communication between CM, players and developers. Maybe in finally some news about GW2...
